Well, I've been playing with Paint Shop Pro 8 the last couple of days and came up with some new stuff. I think I like Photoshop for some of my circles because it was easier to achieve a clear background with many of the circles than it is with Paint Shop Pro 8. Maybe it's just my choice of pics and there isn't a way to make 2 circles so completely alike because the area 'selection' to make the circle will always be different. Here are a few that I made in PSP 8 where the same pictures were used to make circles in Photoshop (see my previous post).
From left to right, #1, 2 and 4 can be compared to the earlier posting where the same pics were used to make circles in Photoshop 7.
And here are a few that I made from scratch, ie: without pictures, only imagination and some creative PSP 8 tools.
I have uploaded some of my personal favorites to my Flickr account so don't hesitate to check them out if you're interested. And thanks for the feedback!
I also learned how to make my own picture tubes, so I now have tubes with these circles that I can use to create other stuff, and share them with other PSP users. Also learned how to create automated scripts for procedures which makes the whole process of circle making quicker; so that's a real plus when you're doing something as addictive as these are! LOL I've concluded that learning in PSP 8 might make it easier to learn Photoshop 7. Which by the way, I'm beginning to feel that PSP 8 was modeled after Photoshop 7. There are a lot of similarities with these two than there is with the earlier version of Paint Shop Pro. Still, a lot to learn....
I think it turned out so pretty. Each of the circles that I'm showing here have been manipulated using my own photos of flowers from our gardens. Some of them had been changed into a different design prior to making the circles and some of them were unchanged before making the circles. Oh yes, the center circle in the row above, is of a wine glass, a portion of a wine bottle (label) and a sparkly candle holder. No flowers involved in that one. There's a few more posted at my Flickr account, if you care to check it out.
